The dispateh, published in the London Dazette supplement, pointed out that expeditionary headquarters was ordered to be i'ormed after active operations were sfarted. The lreadqBarters for 'the forces based at Andalsnes and Namsos was iocated at M argate and as ihe resnlt of the long communications and changes' in plans, was never in touch with the situation. (deneral Massy stated the • supply position for Soufhera. Xo-rway was disastrous. (iinis were landed without detachments aiul vehicles. arrived without drivers. Even frontline transport for tiie infantry was divorced from the uuits.
