"MERELY POLICE AND SECURITY OPERATIONS"
Received Thtirsday, 10.30 a.m. PARIS, May 29. A semi-official statement from French Headquarters in Saigon ae scribes the incidenis on the Siamese frontier, of which the Siam Government eomplained, as merely police and security operations connected with the recovery of material looted by bandits, who sought refuge in Siamese territory. The statement adds that a few Annamese and Laotian rebel bands continue acts of banditry despite the presence of French troops.
