By Telegraph

Received Thursday, 11.30 a.m. LONDON, May 29. The Government has dispatched two sharp notes to Albania and Yugoslavia, says the Press Association. Tne note to Albania states that the Government regards as entirely unsatisfactory the explanation which the- Albanian Government furnished regarding the shelling of British cruisers by Albanian coastal batteries. The suggestion that the ships were not recognised as British is regarded as naive. The note to Yugoslavia, which was delivered in Belgrade on May .20, protested against Yugoslavia's lack of co-operation. It particulariy drew attention to Yugoslav obstruction to the efforts by the Allied Military Governments to keep the peace in Venezi and Aquiiia, and also to anti-Brms'n and antiAmerican slogans being chalked on waiis, tne concealment . of political fugitives from the Allied authorities and demonstrations during the visit of the Big Four to Trieste. The note adds that British owners of lactories in Yugoslavia and their agents were demed facilities to visit the property. It complains that communications to the British Embassy in Belgrade had been obstructed. The Press Association adds that the British conclusion is that Yugoslavia is behaving as though ' she vvishes to isoiate herself from the West.
