I A tliree-vear-old New Zealand boy, ■ I Uiahaiu Somerville, with aa iron screw ; embedded in his lung, lias left New i Orloaus by air on the last stage of a 10,000-mile boat and plane trip from Auckland to Philadelphia for a delicate lung operation. He is accompanied by his mother, Mrs. W. G. Somerville, and his grandmotlier, Mrs. Ida Airie. Two passengefs on a Washingtonbound plane gave np their seats so that the boy 's trip would not be interrupted. Air line officials said they were attempting to arrange quiek connections between Washington and Philadelphia. The mother said the boy underwent seven unsuccessful operations in New Zealand for the removal of the screw, which he swallowed when he coughed.
