CONFERENCE TO-DAY TO DECIDE ISSUE
Received Monday, 8.50 p.m. CANBERRA, May 27. A confeqence in Canberra between Mr. Chifley and the miners' leaders tomorrow will determine whether there will be a general coal holdup or not, according to Mr. O. W. S. Grant, general secretary of the Miners' Federation. Any decision' to strike will have to be made by the central council of the Pederation which meets in Sydney on Thursday.
