Mining under the twelve day truee ended at midniglit and the Government appealed to the niiners to say 011 the job Monday morning but whether tlie^- will do so is a question that cannot bc answered until Monday. Mr. J. L. LeWis cancelled a meeting of the United Mineworkers Association policy committee. He says that "the Government seizurc of the soft coal mines invokes the punitive provisions Of the Sntith-Gonnally Slave Statute, thereby iinperilling tlie liberty of indlvidtial members of the union. Therefcre, until a further clarifieation of the national policy, the committee will not be meeting.". ......
