CONGRESS PARTY HESITANT.
NEW DELHI, May 24. The Gongress Party's workiilg comtnittee ltas postponed its decision on the British mission 's proposals fof a fortnight, declaring that it could hot hnally give a decision until it was given a fuller pieture. It has been discus.sing the proposals for seven davs. The eonnnittee stated that the party would participate in the formation of a Constituent Assembly only if a suit able interim Government was established. Tlie committee claimed that the interim Govefilment lbust approximate closely tlie st'atus of iiulependence for which India was striviiig, and objocted to the continued presenee of the British Armv.
