Received Monday, 10.55 a.m. LONDON, May 26. After an eight-day visit to Tabriz the Associated Press of Great Britain's Teheran correspondent emphasises the state of fear and suspicion prevailing in the Azerbaijan eapital. He says the inhabitants and officials dare not be seen speaking to Anglo Saxons because all foreigners are suspected of being spies. Officials who dare to do so speak in a whisper that they and ninety per cent. of the population oppose what they call the "foreign-sponsored National Government," but add t^iat the "other ten per cent. are armed." 1 The correspondent says his hotel porter was "grilled" by secret police after carrying a message for him.
