MORE INDUSTR1ES COVERED Further completed employment surveys of industries in the district have been made available by the district employment officer, Mr. L. W. Cozens. The labour content of the group covered is as follows, with the vacancies in each case being given in parentheses:---Bread bakeries: Males 119 (4), females 13 (1). Cake kitchens and pastry cooks: Males 44 (1), females 40 (4). Manufacturers of other foodstuffs: Males 39 • nil), females 17 (6). Beverage industries: Males 75 (nil), females 6 (nil). Chemical, vegetable and afiimal products: Males 124 (2), Uemales 38 (7 k Rubber manufacture: Males 33 (1), females 3 (nil). Printing and photography: Males 202 (9), females 81 (3). Furdressing and manufacture: Males 6 (nil), females 8 (nil). Manufacture of leather goods: Males 6 (6), females 17 (2). These figures repreSeiit the posi-^ tion as at April 15 last, ahd their availability has been made possible by the co-operation of individual employers. The data, disI closing as it does, the distributioh t of labour between industries at present, will * form the basis for comparison with future Mmildr rSturns which are called for, and will afford valuable information to eihployers regarding the movement ahd absorption of labour.
