Personal The friends of Mi?s M. Hennessey will be pleased to hear that she is up and about again after her recent illness. Mr. and Mrs. Basil Harris have returned home from their holiday in the north. Mrs. Harris is now very much improved in health after her long illness. Mr. J. J. E. Downie, who has been relieving manager at the Bank of New Zealand, left yesterday for Foxton to take up similar duties there. Mrs. L. Rowbotham and family, of Wellington, have been the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Thomson, Nathan Terrace, for the past f*ew days. Mr. Rowbotham, of the Dairy Board, is a visitor to Shannon to-day and leaves with his wife and family this evening for their home. Rest Room Tenders Advice has been received from Mr. R. Vinsen, secretary of the Shannon Rest Room Committee, that at a meeting held recently to discuss the tenders received for the erection of the proposed ladies' rest rooms, the tender of Shannon Builders and Suppliers, Ltd., was accepted. Shannon Builders advise that as soon as the necessary contracts have been signed, work wai commence on the building immediately.
