Mr. Ilintz, who lield a commissiou in the Navy, was one of the three inanagers of the New Zealand Services team which played a series of matches I in Britain last, Vear, followed by some 111 France. Frencli players and officials, wrote Mr. Hintz, kecnly desired eloser contact with other Kugby eountries. Tlie chairman, Mr. S. S. Dean, said that the matter could be considered when the question of international lours cropped up. Jt was agreed to send to the appeal rouncil the Wellington Union's renewed appeal 011 the Council. of Spo.rt membership issue. New Zealand University • will be asked if it is prepared to play a Maori team at Fulmerston North on Septcmber 21.
