Mr. Rhodes appeared for Mr. E. K. pawler, who has made the first of a series of sub-divisioiis. Mi. Atmore appeared for Mr. Hendra, as purchaser of one of the sections. Mr. R. A. Large, of Wellington, gave evidence of comparative values along the coast and of the unsatisfied demand. He stated that at Raumati on a sub-division there v/ere more buyers than sections available. The coastal area right up was destined for close settlerrient. ' Corroborative evidence was given by other estate agents, Messrs. Harold Taylor, Buxton and Eatwell (Raumati) . Mr. Taylor considered that as time went on the coastal road would be continued right up, but he doubted extension beyond the Otaki Ri'ver owing . to the cost of bridging. Ari interesting point in answer to Mr. Rhodes was that he was not engaged in the area more to the south, and did not agree with the high values obtaining at Paraparaumu. " Decisions were reserved.
