The.se have been practicaiiy conipleted, Mr. P. Galvin, JMul-pliy's manager, liaving advised Mr. R. ,L. Farrell, prcsident of the Auckland Boxiug Association, that Murphy is willing to light any New Zealand middleweight in Auckland on July 8. The Auckland association is applying to tkc New Zealand Boxing Council for a permit to stage the contest for a purse of £500. An opponcnt is being sought for Murphy and he vvill probably be the wimier of the iiiateh next Mondav night between Roy Steveus and George Allen, for the New Zealand middleweight championship. The latter title was relinquishea by Cliff Hanaham, of Waimate, when he retired at the end of last season. Stevens had signiiied his willingness to meet Murphy if he is successful in gaining tke Now Zoalaad title.
