WELLINGTON, May 21. Laureuson, to-day. There was no reasou, lie added, why auy reseller should refuse to supply a motorist uuless he himself liappeued to be ruuuing sliort. Iu that case anotaer service station would, no doubt, be able to supply. Except iu uuusual circumstauces, it would be unnecessary for •auy motorist to obtaiu petrol iu containers. Mr. Laureuson drew atteution to the provisious of the daugerous goods regulations relatiug to the storage of uiotor spirit. Iu a dwelliug or attaclied outhouse not more tlian tliree gallons cau be kept. It must be in separate vessels-each coutainiug uot more than half a pint securely stopped. Iu a detached building uot more than 8\ gallons cau be kept. It must be in a substuutial vessel securely closed. Ou a farm of uot lcss than .10 acres uot more tlian 250 gallons cau be kept. It must be in securely closed rnetal vessels iu a tlioroughly ventiiated building at least 40 feet from any otlier building.
