This is tlie 1933-foaled broAvn horse Columcille avIio has been standing in Irelaiul since his retirement from racing. He won eight races and £5353 in stakes, ineluding the NeAvbury Summer Cup and Bibury Cup, both at one mile and a half, and the Great Yorkshire Handicap, one mile aud three-quarters. He scored tAvo further Avins over a mile and a half as a five-vear-old, eacdi time earrying topvveight. 1-le was -regarded as one of the best handicap horses ot his time in England. Columcille comes from the No. 6 family and is out of MoA'illa, by Friar Marcus out of Hailstone, by Rock Flint out of Benevente (Avinner of the Middle Park Plate and dam of six Avinners) by Polvmelus out of Pearmain by Persimmon. Columcille has sired winners in Great Britain and Ireland.
