MRS. R. McKENZIE

The death occurred in Levin on May 17 of Mrs. Annabella McKenzie, wife of Mr. Roderick McKenzie, of Levin. The late Mrs. McKenzie was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Fraser of Beauly, Inver-liess-shire, Scotland, and was married at Beauly in 1915. Mr. McKenzie came to New Zealand in 1921 and settled'in Rangitane, Mrs. McKenzie following a year later. From Rangitane they went to Shannon, and came to Levin _ in 1936, where they have resided since. The late Mrs. McKenzie was wellknown and respected for her lcyalty to friends and staunch support of the -Horowhenua Scottish .Society and Highland .Band. ' She is curvived by her husband, a daughter and grandson, and a sis■&er, 'Mrs. Alec. McKenzie,- of Levin. The funeral took place on Sunday last/ and was largely attended. The ?ervices at the residence and grave•?ide were copducted by the Rev. A. •Salmond. Pall-bearers at the residence were Messrs. Alec. McKenzie, J. Clark, J. Sou'ter, J. A. Goodwin, R Hayfield and P. Tucker. At the grayeside they were from the Horowhenua Scottish Society's Highland Band. A wealth of floral tributes bore evidence -of the -si-11-2ere regard in which fhe deceased lady was held.
