AUCKLAND, May 19. Following an internal clispute,: no eattle have been killed at the South doivii Wot'ks since about the iniddle oi last week.. Althoug'li some cattle havc been returned to fanns, the holding paddocks, are full and if tlie dispute is not settled in tlie morning, more will ln sent. back.. In the iueantime, no furthei cattle are being consigned to the works. The killing of sheep, pigs and calves is_ proeeeding normally. About 80 tilen are involv.ed in the dispute which is between two sections. the beef biitchers and lieef labourers over the distribution of duties. The lieef labourers contehd that tllc biitchers are expceting tliem to do more than theii' sliare of work.
