Personal . Mrs. ,V. Claridge and Miss Barrie are Opiki visitors to Nelson. Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Patterson and their families are holidaymaking at Foxton Beach. Mr. H. Maxwell, of Palmerston North; was a week-end visitor to Mr. and Mrs. R. M. Phillips. Mrs. Krivan and family are spending the school vacation with Mrs. Ramsom, of Palmerston North. Mrs. J. H.. Percy, with her children, Billy and Shirley, are visitors to Te Ore Ore, Masterton, for the school vacation. The Misses Shirley and Marjorie Reid, of Tuai, are staying with their grandparents, Mr. and. Mrs. W. Davey. Federatcd Farmers . At the annuai mecting of the Opiki branch of Federatcd Farmers, Mr. G. Wilde was re-elected to the chair and Mr. C. R. Young appointed secretary. The retiring secretary, Mr. Patterson, was accorded a vote of thanks. National Party Mecting There was a good attendancc at the annuai meeting of the Opiki branch of the National Party. Mr. W. Williams prescnted the balancesheet and iinancial statement. The following were elected officers for the coming yfear: — Chairman: Mr. L. Vile; secretary and treasurer: Mr. W. Williams; executive committee: Mossrs. Vile, Williams, A. Olscn, A. Akers, P. Kriven, J. H. Percy, J. Evenoldscn; delegates to electoral committee: Messrs. Vile, Williams, J. Cooksley and J. D. Aitchison. Mr. M. H. Oram, M.P., gave an interesting addrcss and was accorded a vote of thanks and confidence.
