Xehru, ('ongress leader, alleged tonight tliat he had seen hundreds oi aircraft in various stages of destruction at Bakshikha Toloa aerodrome, 14 miles from Lucknow. He said some were still whole, apparently airworthy. Hundreds of IJolls-Boyce engines lav waiting dostruction. He was told that at least 2000 ]danes had been sinaslied at this airlield. At another ]>lace he was told 3000 bicveles were destroycd with a steamroller. "These are just a few inslances of the eolossal destruction going 011 apparently throughout India, " he said. "It is sheer vaiulalisni. We are entitled at least to some explanation from ihe authorities in a world, and in an India espeeiallv, sudering froni a terrible lack of eousunier goods.
