THERE'S MONEY IN GOLF
American golf professionals certainly play for big nioney. Jim Perrier writing from U.S.A., says that purses in tne summer circuit of tournaments will total 400,000 dollars (about £125,000) this year. Chicago's purse at Tam O'Shanter Golf Club in July will be 45,000 dollars.
