EXTRA TRIP ANNOUNCED
Received Tliursday, 11.15 p.m. .M Kl.HOrRXE, Mav 16. An incrense in the frequency of the Sydney-Auckland airniail service from three to four return hights vteekly, was announced tonight by the PostmasterGeneral, Senator Ounerou. He said, (•onnnencing M ay 21, airmails from Xew Zealand would arrive in Sydney ow Mondity, Tuesdtiy, Wednesday and Friday and airmails would be despateh ed from Sydney to Xew Zealand on Tuesdny. Wednesd^v, Tliursday and Saturday. The popularitv of the transTusman air service for the exchange of cnrrespondenee with Xrew Zealand, was shown by the mail loading from Australia which had increased from 150l'n. weekly in 1040 when ihe 'service was established, to nearly lOOOllis. al pres ent.
