Very great help has alsq oeen received from ther girls of Horo whenua College. So far this year just on 1000 garments have passed through the branch's hands in Levin and 400 garments are already 011 their way to Britaim An unusual way of assisting the guild was conceived by two of its enthusiastic workers, Mrs. Bland and her daughter. They have handed in for sale silver candlesticks, jewellery, vases, silverware, bed tray and other oddments. These articles have so far realised the sum of £15 14s. As the guild must be self-supporting, this money is a great help, Any clothing contributed must be clean, but not necessarily mended. Any help in this work for England will be gratefully received. The guild'sheadquarters is at the former A.N.A. rooms. On Sale at Rooms A fur coat is on sale at the guild's rooms. Also a bed tray and a few small articles. New tins suitable for sepding biscuits or fat overseas are available at 4d each. Any enquirers may ring 'phone number 101.
