LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

MOTHER'S DAY REMEMBERED Sir,— I should like through your colum'ns to express the gratitude which I and many others, I am sure, feel towards the young people of the Methodist Church, who presented every person entering the church on Sunday last with a dainty sray of white flowers in recognition of Mother's Day. In these days, when Mother's Day has become so commercialised, it comes as a very pleasant surprise to find there are still those who think of ' this day as one for kindly thoughtfulness rather _ than just an occasion demanding a gift. Yours etc., "Very Appreciative Mother." Otaki, May 13.
