Received Tuesday, 10.30 a.m. LONDON, May 13. j The British Cabinet mission's statement on India's future will i contain a deciaration of Indian independence, says Reuter's Simla , correspondent. The statqment will probably indicate the approximate date on which Indid is to becomfe : completely independent. In New Delhi to-day, Mr. Gandhi 'stated that the breakdown of the, ! conference was not final, and there i was no need to be depressed. H'e added that the British Ministers I did their utmost, but were unable to prevent the conference breaking up. Mr. Gandhi is meeting Sir Staf- J 'ford Cripps to-night. No official statement on the conference at Simla is expected before Wednesday, and then only after Mr. Attlee has made a statement in th'e House of Commons. The Congress Party will meet on May 17.
