Tlie Government lias decided to set up a Commission of Inquiry into the eeononiie stabilitv of sheepfarnmig, with particular referenee to probleins associated with seeond and tliird c-lass country. This announeement was made this evening by the Minister of Agriculture, Hon. B. Roberts, wlxo recalled that the investigations of a similar Commission set up in 1939, were interrupted in September of that year by the advent of the war. "Though the terms of the referenee of ihe 1939 Commission were very -wide," said tlie Minister, "it is possible certain phases of the general problem have, in the meantime, assumed | more urgent proportions. Cabinet has [therefore decided to invite representa- ; tives of various interested bodies to iconfev with the object of recommending the most appropriate terms of referenee and also to suggest to the Government the nature of the personnel of which the Commission should be comprised. " >
