LEVIN- WELLIN GTON TRANSPORT SERVICE ' After operating a goods service i between Levin and Wellington with i heavy trucks for the past twenty years, the well-known Levin firm of i Messrs. W. Capper and Son, wm j commence a new system of trans- ! por.t on Monday with the introdue- ; | cion of rail freighting. Under ' the new system the firm ] Will collect goods for transport in j Wellington and Levin until 4 p.m. j daily and will load them on rail- ; .vay trucks, which will be hauledj luring the night from Wellington to ^evin and vice versa. The firm will • unload the trucks rnd the goods will be- delivered to he consignee the following mommg as in the past. In the case of produce forward'ed to Wellington, this will be delivered to the markets at a-n early hour as at present. Messrs. Capper and Son will be cclecting and delive-ring all gcods witn j their own trucks, both in Levin and Wellington, and their' stafi will carry out all the handling, loading tnd unloading, the Railway Department being responsible for hauling only between the two plaees.
