ISSUED FOR THE RATJONING CONTROLLER BY THE ECONOMIC |NFORf^lATION SERVICE OREAM RATIONINO THE CREAM RATIONING ORDER 1946 IS EFFECTIVE FROM 15th APRIL, 1946 The Order requires that— (1) CONSUMERS are to be registered. Holders of cream permits are to hand them to their ordinary suppiiers, who must enter the name, address, permit number and weekly amount • from each permit into a-register.'. (2) RETAILERS are to be- licensed. The only persons now permitted to retail cream are those who are licensed to do so by local Rationing Officers. Applications for licenses will be accepted fro-m all retailers operating - immediately prior to 15th April. (3) RETAILERS are to keep registers. Every licensed retailer must keep a copy of his register of customer in the premises or on the vehicle from which he sells cream. At least once every three months this register and all permits in the retailer's hands are to be presented to the Rationing OfFicer for check and verification. . (4) WHOLESALERS. Supplying dairies may supply cream to retailers, manufacturers or other bulk consumers onlyagainst permits issued by Rationing Officers. At the end of each four weeks (from 15th April) they are required to submit a return of all cream so supplied during the preceding four weeks.
