East Road.. It was. agreed to ihform the! Shannon Bprough Cquncii that thi^ | work will be carried out, subject t'Qi he confirmation of the District ligfiway Board. A letter was received from . the Ohau branch of the N.Z. Federated Jarmers drawing attention to the statg of the Muhunoa West Road. The engineer was instructed to deal ,vith this matter. • ' Ths Otaki Racing Club forwarded a request for the sealing of Rahui and Te Roto Roads, it was decided to inform the club that attention will be paid to improvements in the

!meantime, and that the sealing ] would be done when the opportunity I offered. It was considered that j more pressing needs requiring . attention prevented the sealing ' j being carried out at present. t The monthly report of the act- ' I ing-engineer (Mr. W. H. Fraser) was received and adopted. ' The annual meeting of the council was fixed for Friday, June 14, when estimates for the next year will be considered.
