GRAVE SITUATION IN SYDNEY

The Minister of Loeal Government, Mr. Cahill, warued that althougli gas j and electricity rationing will not be introduced immediately, the position is very grave. A railway ofticial has an- ' nounced that if coal stocks heid by the ! department decline anv more, Oom- { missioner Hartigan will consider cut- ' ting train services next week. The j Miners' Federation spokesman wariied last night that the c-risis might come soouer than people expect. At a conference completed last night, supplv authorities and Government | officials worked out a rationing plaii to i be introduced immediately coal stdeks i deteriorate further.
