MOUTOA W.D.F.U.

The monthly meeting of the Moutoa branch of the W.D.F.U. was held on Tuesday afternoon. Mrs. S. W. Barber presided over a good attendance of members. Those members who had been the guests of the Shannon Division at the birthday party on Monday all reported having spent a delightful day. It was decided to hold a card evening at Mrs. Glen Wilson's residence on Thursday eVening, the proceeds being in aid of the branch's parcels for Britain campaign. While afternoon tea was being prepared, Mrs. J. D. Campbell conducted a "quiz" competition, the winner being Mrs. G. Wilson. After the delightful afternoon tea was served, members spent the remainder of the afternoon packing parcels for needy people in England. Twelve being sent to an English infirmary. Last month six parcels were sent to England and next month six will be sent to Dr. Barnardo's Homes. A bring-and-buy stall did very brisk business during the afternoon.
