Reeeived Wednesday, 10.15 a.m. LONDON, May 7. Mr. Attlee called a special Cabinet meeting this afternoon to consider the dire food situati'on in India and Germany, says the Press Association. The meeting is not considering the food situation in Britain and no further hoi*e cuts are at present contemplated. ' The latest reports from Germany and elsewhere will be before the Cabinet. . The' reports indicate that the Ger.man diet, whieh is now about 1000 calories daily, will soon have very serious efi'ects on th-e- population.
