Emcrgency supplies and rations car' U'ierl in the bomb bay of a fast aircraft :of the R.N.Z.A.F., were dropped sucvessfully this afternoon to the two nieir • aboard the launch Annie which is driffing some 50 miles sontliwest of Raglan. The jnen, L. K. Ivjeldsen, aged 5A, niar ried, and D. J. McGlashan, aged *19, .single, were seen hauling the fioating pafeks aboard the launch and both ;waved to the aircraft. Neither the •searching launch from New Plymouth nor the motor-vessel Clansman on lier way from Onehunga to N&y: .pivmouth had sighted ' the Annie which proved difficult to locate again todav. During the night she drifted some 15 mile>, from tlie position in which the aircratt last observed' her late on Monday afternoon and tlte first aircraft sent from Ohakea today failed to make contact. It was not until 3.15 o'clock this after" noon that a Ventura aircraft also from Ohakea, reported "locating the kumeu which was pitehing in a choppy sea and drifting. before a wind of 25 to 30 knots.. There was low cloud down to about 800 feet but visibility was fair.
