MINISTER'S DENIAL OF PERMANENCY

Referring to the report on the Government 's postwar egg marketing policy, the Minister of klarketing, Hon. B. Roberts, said vesterday that it was incorrect that the committee which had been set up might remain in operation permanently. "I have set up, as 011 many previous occasions, a departmental committee with which are associated persons interested in egg marketing, to report direet to me as to recommendations for the postwar marketing of eggs," said Mr. Roberts. "There is 110 possibility of this committee being pennanent and its scope will be in regard to eggs and egg pulp ouly — not table poultry. As. soon as the committee has eompleted its report it will disband." The Minister added that the committee had been set up in an advisory capacity to him. It comprised members of uie Poultry Board and six others.
