ESTIMATED EXPENDITURE The" estimated expediture in connection with the Otaki Fire Board up to March 31, 1947, will be as.follows: — Operating and maintenance charges: Caretaker's wages £33. . brigade service honours and subsidy £25, annual registration of engine £3. Repairs, maintenance and renewals : Earthquake repairs and extension room, renovating and painting £224 9s 6d, septic tank and plumbing £80, brigade equipment £100, maintenance of fire engine, benzine and oil £10, lighting and fuel £15, telephone £11, insurances £34, U.F.B.A. annual subscription £3 and sundry unforeseen £20. Administrative expenses : — Secretary's salary £50, travelling expenses £5, audit fees £2, advertising, printing and stationery £7, postages, bank charges, and office expenses £4 and unauthorised £20. General: — Otaki Borough Council, annual instalment, account purchase of plant £3 17s, fire engine loan, instalments, £77. Total £727 7s 3d less credit balance £248 7s lld. a total of £476 19s 4d. Balance being estimated expenditure for the year: — Amount payable by Minister of Finance £47 17s lOd, amount payable by insurance companies and, housing account £215 10s 9d, amount payable by local authority £215 10s 9d. Assets amount to £2811* 13s 6d, made up as follows:— Land £130, buildings and furniture £1044 Is lOd, plant and equipment £1354 13s 9d, piano £30, plant interest suspense account £4 10s and cash In bank £248 7s lld.
