ABERDEEN ANGUS CATTLE SOLD
' 1 W GISBOENE, May 1. ^ Top price for female cattle of the Waitaria Aberdeen Angus Stud lierd, at the dispersal sale of Mr. G. V. Bmith's property at Patutahi, was 470 guineas, paid by ^Morrison Bros., of j Hamilton. Hcr heifer calf brought 100 J guineas, the buver iu this ease beingj T. D. Jolly, Te'Kuiti. A total of 37 bull calves sold at an average of 39 guineas and 39 cows with bull calves averaged 73:1 guineas. The offering totalled 225 liead. The attendance of nearly 300 ineluded many interested buyers from widely scattered districts in the North and South Islands. A cow at 370 guineas was sold to Mr. L. N. Hoggard, of Pahiatua. Her bull calf realised 70 guineas. A cow with a strong infusion of Waiteranui blood was bought into the Waiteranui Stud again at 325 guineas by Mr. J. McFarlane, of Hastings. H'er bull calf was sold to Mr. E. K. .Treland, of Oamaru, at 180 guineas.
