Thirty delegates representing most of the racing clubs in the ' Dominion, sat iu conference in Wellington for two •hours todav to consider various inatters in connection wi"i representations to be made to the Gaming Conmiission on behalf of racing interests. Mr. H. R. Chalmers, president of the New Zea"land Racing Conference, presided. The meeting was held in eommittee. The executive eommittee of the Racing Conference was given full authority to prepafe evidenee and afrange for its presentation to the Commission aloug lines deeided on by delegates.
