The fuli entries in all sections were largely due to the fact that no sale was held last week because of the holidayg. Pigs were in over supply, ahd the sheep entries were par- i ticulariy heavy. Dairy cattle also' cdthe for'ward iri large numbers. The large yardings resulted in an easing in Values. The sale was behihd schedule in staftiiig and ih consequence of the hdavy entries was- 'not --completed tiiitil late ih ihe afternoon. Dairy Cattle Heavy entries in the. dairy section caused a definite easing in reaiisations, some of which are as f Qllows ; Calved cows, 1 at £9, 1 at £10 10s to 1 at £1J. 11s; calved heifers-, 1 at £6 10s to 1 at £14 5s; springing cows, 1 at £8 10s to 1 at £12 10s; springing heifers, 1 at £10 5s, 1 at £13 5s, 1 at £13 15s, 2 at £14 5s to 1 at £15 10s; 1 cow close to profit, £13 5s.
Store Cattle Ex-dairy store cattle sold up 't-o late rates, but the inferior qualities went at cheap rates. Weaner heifers were very slack, with no j demarid for inferior lots. Prices Were: Cows, 1 at £1 15s, 1 at £2 10s, j 1 at £2 15s, 2 at £3 5s, 1 at £3 12s 6d, ! 3 at £3 15s to 1 at £5 15s; weaner • heifers, 4 at £2 7s 6d to 2 at £3 5s. ! Fat Cattle j ' ''Fat cattle (ex-dairy) values were , easier.- Reaiisations were: Cowsy £l'0 lls 6d, £11 2s 6d to £11 7s Od; R.A. heifers, £11 12s 6d to £12 12s 6d; ex-ddiry cows, £5 17s 6d, £6 12S 6d, £6' 17s 6d to £7 12s 6d. Shieep There was a fai'r yarding of Store sheep wit'h the lamb and sheeb peris | filled to capacity. Though the eritries were larger than usuai; the sale was brisk up to the last pen.
