BOWING
RAUMATI SOUTH CLUB The Raumati South Bowling Club, which has ohly been in existence for a comparatively shoft time, has had a most successful season. Closing day has been fixed for May 4. This is a Saturday afternoon and a. very full attendance of members is desired. , The" match coinmittee is arrariging an attractive progra'mme, and with a good attendance it is hoped to bring the season to an enjoyable and satisfactory conclusion. Unfortunately due to a holdup with the engraving, the various trophies, bars, etc., which the championship and other winners are to receive, will not be available for presentation on closing afternoon. This will be held over for the annual meeting. The committee has decided to open a building fund separate from the normal club's accounts, and it is hoped that it will receive revenue from sources 'other than normal club revenue. ' ' The financial year ends on May 31 and it is necessary that the annual meeting be held during the month of June, so the committee has set the date of June 29. This is a Saturday night and a good attendance shows ^that members are interested, not ohly in the game of bowls, but also in the manage-' ment and welfare of' the club. ' •" The matter of club badges is progressing very slowly, but by the annual meeting it is hoped to have something very attractive to present.
