CHAMPION JUVENILE BRED AT LONGBURN
After his win in tke Gr.eafe Northern Champagne Stakes at Ellerslie at Easter, Majesty can be rated as one of 'the best juveniles in the North Island, if not the best. At the Auckland Summer meeting, Barwon was considered tne best by virtue of his victory in the Great Northern Foal Stakes, but tlie latest performance of Majesty was a striking effort and northern judges; are of the opinion that he is one of the. .best colts produced in recent years. •».- ■ Barwon, who is to do his future . racing in Australia, has started four times, winning three after being unplaeed at. his first attempt. Majesty, on ? the. other hand, has started five times for a * second and four wins. His 'sdcond- was at his first start when, lacking race' experieuce, he was beaten by a neck by Barwon. That was the only time these two Foxbridge juveniles have niet. . MajCsty's second start was at tne Auckland Summer meeting. 'He won both the Nursery and the '' Criteri ni Handicaps, and, at the March meeting at Ellerslie, he again won,- this time carrying 9.6. His recent triumph in the Champagne Stakes gives him a fine re cord and brings his stake earnings up to £2500.Majesty is , a beautifully mouldeu brown colt bred by Mr. J. A. Mitclieli at his Santa Rosa Stud, Longburn, Manawatu, and as a yearling was purchased at the National -Saies by Mr. jx. Court, Auckland, for 1500 guineas.
