WELLINGTON, April 30. j Mr. Percy Galvin, Bos Murphy's i manager, has received a cable from Idtadiums, Limited, Sydney, offering •Murphy a re-match with Patrick, j with other fights to follow. | "That is not the kind of offer we jare wanting," said Mr. Galvin, who jd-id not think it wouid be accepted. He said it was doubtful whether j Murphy would go to Australia, biit if he did he would want to meet ■ Tommy Burns and some othefs ! oefore flghting Patrick again. j Mr. Galvin said that Murphy and [his trainer, Jackie Parker, might j iventually go overseas, but it wds iunlikely that they would do so this [ year. | "Murphy is enthiisiastic about ; boxing," continued Mr. Galvin, "but ;is not unduly ambitious. He would I prefer to finish with a sound body i aild less money,. rather than make | more money at • ithe ips'k s of .his ' health. In the mdahtime ' he is 1 quite content to have more matches in New Zealand during. the season, but will not resumfe training till he has had agood rest."
