He saw service in the Middle East and Italy, rising to the rank of lieutdhant, and following the cessation of hostilities was attached to the Sfecurity Intelligence Branch in Italy. Prior to the war, Constable Kelk was stationed at Rotorua. The death has occurred at ' Dunedin of Mr. R. L- Wigley, managingdirector of the Mount Cook and Sduthern Lakes Tourist Colnpany. He was an outstanding figufe ih the tourist world and was a pioneer in opening up- the Mackerizie Country and Mount Gook regions by rrieans of motor services.
