CLOTHING WELCOMED IN DENMARK
Little lias been eirculated about the rigours of life in Dcnmark undcr conditions lct't by the German oeeupation, in comparison with other eountries more in the international eye. The Danish people are having their share of. Europe's troubles, theirs being due in many instances to the scarcity of clothing. In the last few weeks a Danish sewing circle in Auckland has received welcome news of the arrival of various eases of clothing sent to the homeland. A'mong others, a letter from the Town Hall, Aarhus, describes the exeitement and the gratitude with which people received the gifts, the quality of which had not been seen for five years. Even those distributing the clothing ' rau their fingers through the woollies to get the thrill of their warmth.
