Thev wero unable to open another safe al'ter exploding ,a charge in the keyhole, aml on the fourth oecasion , they wero disturbed when about to l)low j the safe, escaping when a member of j thc firm entered the front door. He ; , found a charge of gelignite plugged I inlo the safe keyhole with a detonator j fitted. Apparently the safebreakers ' were about to ftx a fuse when they decided to make a hastv exit.
