Morotai, Tikaliglit and Phoenicia lost grouud at the start and Pellmeer was the early lcadef from 11 Corona, Patta Fe, Prince Wanaka, Otamaire, Newel Post aud Blue Orchid. 11 Corona, Pellmeer, Blue Orchid and XeWel I'ost were in front at the haltmile and Blue Orchid led into the straight ahead of 11 Corona whicli was under tlie whip, Newel Post, Patta Fe.
