Shop windows are erammed with toffee and nuts; mints and i carainel; bars and bloeks of ehoeolate — milk, plain, raisin — encrusted and honey-flavoured, done up with fancy bows and ribbons, glistening eellophane packages and prieed at anything between 2/0 and 4/- (sterling).
