WELLINGTON; April 19. A man received injuries from whiCii he died later in hospital, and a woman was injured wlven they alighted from a train at Paekakariki today. The victime were: — Killed: Oscar Anderson, of Whitianga. Injured: Mrs.. Lillian Parker, bf Paeroa. Tlie accident oceurred'when Anderson ahd Mrs; Parkel' alighted frbm tho relief express from Auckland which left Paekakariki at 1.54 p.m. Andetson fell between the train and the platforin. He sufi'ered feontpbtmd fTactures of bota legs and severe lacerations. Mrs. Parker 's injuries were not So extensive. Both injured pefsofis weritaken by ambulance to Wellington Hds pital where Anderson dibd later/ Mts Parker 's bonditioh was fepbrted satis factory tonight.
