' . w. L " - ^ HOROWHENUA ELECTRK POWER ROARD Urgent Appeal to Consumers SAVE ELECTRICITY Causes outside the eontrOl of the Board have brought about a ^erious shortage of electricity and unless consumers are prepared to make a voiuntary .reduction in their consumption more drastic rationing will be neeessary. , At the moment our allocation is being exceeded by 7000 units a d'ay„ and as there are over 7000 consumers in the Board's distriet a SAVING OF ONE UNIT PER DAY BY EACH CONSUMER would be sufficient to avoid rationing. This can be done without'hardship. RATIONING AT AN.YTIME OF THE DAY OR NIGHT CAUSES REAL HARDSHIP an.d this appeal is made to all consumers in the hope that they will respond and so avoid the need for further disconnections. « * • R. A. FREDERIKSON, Managing Secretary.
