Mr. A. Gi'llespie was nominated. The' question of grounds in Levih was diScussed at some length. It was decided to make usfe, If possible, of the Coilege grouna this Season. As a resuit of the discussion a motion was passed that & deputation cohsisting of MessrS. Zuppicich, McFarlane, and NeaS should approach the Levin Borough Council in -regard to the rates oh Rugby Park. Grounds committees were appointed, the committee for grounds south of Levin beirlg Messrs. R. L. Robinson ahd N: Winiata, and grounds in and north of Levin, Messrs. V. J. Bateman and H. Robson. A fixtures and postponement committee, consisting of Messrs. Neas, McFarlane and J. A. zuppicich, was ' also appoiiited. Tne appointment oi gatekeepei'S was lfeft to the clubs to decide. A motion proposing that all ^enior and juhior football matches falling on race-days in the district se postponed was adopted. Nominations from clubs for the •* -ompetition were recei"ved, thfe oeams being as foiiows: — Senior grade: Shannon, Athletic, Wandefjrs, Rahui, Otaki, Foxton and Hui 4ai. Junior grade: Foxton, Shanhon, Paraparaumu (2), Hui Mai, Rahui, Otaki, Athletic, Wanderers, Waimaha and Oid Boys. Third grade: Coilege (2; , Athletic, Wanadrers. Rahui. Shannon and Foxtoh.

The question of the proposed amalgamation with the Manawatu RUgby Union was raised, and it was decided to invite delegates from thfe Manawatu Union to the next ordnary meeting, when rhe proposihon wouid be fuliy discussed and a decision arrived at. A short preiiminary discussiOh waS held, thfe attitude of tlie majority of meihbel'S being that such a move would not be in the best interests of the / majority of piayers and the public m the district. The situation regarding the supply of jerseys was discussed, and p'ermission was granted to - tlie Rahui Club to play in black ahd white, and to the Otaki Club to play iii brown and gold jerseys, until supplies of the proper jerseys wefe forthcoming. An offer by Mrs.- Robinson to donate a trophy was gratefully accepted. The trophy will be awarded to the best turned-out and pehaved team in the competitions. points being allotted by the rfeferees. ^
