v ^ WEEKLY SALE IN LEVIN At the weekly Levin stock sale held 011 Monday there was a good yarding all round, with prices iully lirm on- recent saies. Fewer butchers were present owing.to ine sale clashing with the Johnsonville saie. The Levin sale was held yesterday on account of the approachihg ■ Easter holidays. Dairy Cattle A medium entry of .dairy cattle was yarded and some good prices were realised. Tne prices were r Cows, £7 10s, £8, £12, £12 lus, £lb bs to £17 6s; heifers, £14 to £i»; pulls, £3 5s, £3 10s to £0. Fat Cattle There was .a fair yarding of fat • cattie and prices were as foiiows: Vealers, 2 at £1 7s 6d, 1 at £2, 2 at £3, 1 at £3 2s 6d, 10 at £5 5s to £5 17s 6d; cows, 1 at £4 7s 6d, 1 at £5 8s 6a, £6 2s 6d, £7 7s 6d, 7 at £11 7s 65 to 6 at £11 17s 6d; heifers, l:,.at £13 17s 6d; bullocks, 1 at £10 17s 6d to 2 at £15 2s -6d. Pigs Pigs came forward in large numbers and with the bidding keen' the resultant prices were high. Realisations were: Light baconers, £2 10s to £2 18s; medium do., 2 at £3, 4 at £3 is, 3 at £3 3s, 8 at £3 6s to 4 at £3 7s; heavy do., 3 at £3 11s, 2 at £3 16s, to 4 at £3 18s, 4 at £4 to 2 at £4 4s; choppers, £5 2s 6d, £5 5s, £5 13s to 3 at £5 14s; stores, 6 at 12s, 2 at 23s to 1 at 24s; heavier do., 5 at £1 15s. Fat Slieep ' Fat sheep sold well, values being on a par with late rates. The foilowing prices were realised: Wethers, 16 D.f. at 28s ld,' 26 at 29s 10d, 14 at 31s 4d, 52 at 32s ld, 25 at 31s 7d, 18 at 32s lOd, 26 at 33s ld, 28 at 33s lOd, 15 at 34s 4d to 11 at 34s 7d; ewes, 15 at 17s lOd, 20 at 18s lOd, 12 at 21s 7d to 12 at 24s ld; lambs, 14 at 19s lOd, 13 at 22s ld, 18 at 24s 6d, 15 at 27s 4d to 30 at 29s 7d. Stores: Ewe hoggets, 78 at 21s 7d to 79 at 21s 9d.*
