The operation of a five-da-y weelc basis for work in the transport industry, will be a subject for consideration at the first mefcting of the council recently formed by tlfe New Zealand Transport Workers Federation, in Wellington on June 15 and 1(5. More than 30,000 workers are now affiliated with the federatioii tlirough their unions.4* The exeeutive of the federation has met to prepare recommendations for the conference. Tlie secretary, Mr. P.
